My question is: even if nationalist movements are indeed instruments of Machenschaft, do they not help "preserve" Voelker through the process of the Vollendung of modernity? Greg Johnson has observed that one consequence of the rule of technological Gestell is that the members of all the Western peoples become "Bestand" -- and thus "fungible." For the globalists, they can and should be "replaced" by people from foreign lands, so that everyone, everywhere undergoes Entwurzelung. But if this happens, could there ever be another Anfang? How could a Volk be preserved without nationalism?

I think that nationalism, understood as a) liberal-humanist instrumentalization of the people as a vehicle of the world spirit b) as a Nietzschean-vitalist mobilization of the people as an expression of the will to power, could be overcome without losing the people in the process. On the contrary! European nationalism, for example, despite all its important merits, has made a greater European order difficult or even impossible. But this is necessary to protect the European peoples from foreign powers. So there is a policy that avoids old mistakes but preserves all the positive aspects of nationalism.

Vielleicht nicht immer ganz so knapp. Aber weil man es mehrfach lesen muss, liefert die schwer verständliche Kürze leider keinerlei Gewinn. Aber das ist nur meine persönliche Meinung.
Mein Fazit war: Ich konnte zwar Argumente für "Volk" aber keine Argumente für "Nation" oder "Staat" finden.
